Get Started with Microsoft Teams Today

This feature is similar to video conferencing tools like Zoom or Google Meet. If you are the first one in the meeting, Teams will ask you to name it and then start. You can then invite others by copying a meeting link.

Organizing with Communities and Channels

You can schedule events directly within a channel. Look for an option to ‘Create New Event’ or similar. You can set a title, date, and time for the event.
For example, you could schedule a recurring weekly meeting for your sales team. Set the title to ‘Weekly Sales Meeting,’ choose Friday at 4:00 PM, and set it to repeat every week. After saving, this event will appear for everyone in that channel.
Adding More Channels and Communities
You can add more channels under an existing team to break down work further. If a subgroup is working on a specific project, like rewriting the pricing structure, create a new channel just for them.
You can also start new ‘Communities’ for different departments or functions, such as a ‘Development Group.’ This allows you to customize Teams to fit your organization’s size and structure. You can create as many layers of organization as you need.
Using the Calendar
